Hi, I'm Bayla

Someone in your corner, start to finish

I'm a certified doula, and my job is simple: to make sure you feel supported, informed and never alone. I trained through the Guiding Hands Doula Fellowship and in Spinning Babies techniques.

I get to know you before the birth, stay with you through labor, and check in once your baby is home.

What I offer

Before birth

Getting ready

We meet, talk through your hopes and worries, and make a plan you feel good about. I share positions and balancing practices you can use in the weeks before birth.

During birth

By your side

I'm with you through active labor: comfort, positions, and a calm voice in the room. I help you understand what's happening so nothing feels confusing.

After birth

The first days

A visit once you're home to help with feeding, rest and the small questions nobody warns you about.

Techniques I use

Spinning Babies

Gentle positions and movements that help your baby find a good path for birth. I'm trained in Spinning Babies techniques.

Balancing techniques

Simple daily practices to keep your body balanced and comfortable as your baby grows.

Comfort in labor

Breathing, touch, counter-pressure and positions that make contractions easier to work with.

Questions families ask

What does a doula do?

A doula gives continuous emotional and physical support before, during and after birth. I help you prepare, stay with you through labor with comfort measures and positions, and check in once you're home. A doula doesn't give medical care; your midwife and doctors do that, and I work alongside them.

Does Kupah reimburse doula support?

Many Kupot (Kupat Holim, the Israeli health funds) reimburse part of a doula's fee, depending on your Kupah and your plan. I'll walk you through how to claim on our first call.

Which hospitals do you go to?

I support births at Hadassah Ein Kerem, Hadassah Mount Scopus (Har HaTzofim), Shaare Zedek (Shaarei Tzedek) and Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh). If you're planning to give birth somewhere else, ask me and we'll see what works.

Which areas do you cover?

I work with families in Jerusalem, Modiin, Beit Shemesh and Tel Aviv and the surrounding areas.

When should I book?

As early as you like; many families reach out in the second trimester. I take a small number of births each month. Right now: December: 1 spot left · Now booking January onward.

How much does a doula cost?

It depends on the support you'd like, from preparation meetings to the birth itself and the visit after. Reach out and I'll explain the options and pricing on a free call. Part of the fee may be covered by Kupah reimbursement.

What are Spinning Babies techniques?

Spinning Babies® is an approach to pregnancy and birth created by midwife Gail Tully. It uses balance, gravity and movement, through gentle positions and stretches, to give your baby room to settle into a good position for birth. I'm trained in Spinning Babies techniques.
